Open folder in its own window problem

Hello All

In Windows XP Professional, I have "Open folder in its own window" checked.
But when I click on a folder, it opens in the same window, replacing what
was there before. This works fine on my Win98SE computer. Any idea what the
deal is with XP Pro? This is my computer's ThinkPad, but I have
administrator rights.

That's an interesting tip. But in this case I don't think it's the problem
because Windows remembers the "open folder in separate window." It remains
checked but doesn't work .... even once!!!!
