Open file in different format

When accessing a directory, is there a function which will open the list of
files in the DETAILS format rather than the icon and thumbnail?
The icons may be nice but it's easier to read the detail list which takes up a
whole lot space.

clik on the view button on top of the file and you can
have the option to view thums, icons, details, ect.
