Open E-Mail Attachments with PPTViewer03

Recently downloaded PPTViewer03 and can't open PPT attachments received with
an e-mail. A pop-up tells me, “There is no application associated with this
type of file. Would you like to save the attachment instead?†The
PowerPoint attachments appear to be associated correctly with PowerPoint
Viewer. When saved to the Desktop, the PowerPoint files open fine. I have
no problem opening DOC, JPEG, MPEG or other types of files received as e-mail
attachments. Is this simply an anomaly in my e-mail – which will not allow
PowerPoint attachments to be opened with the appropriate application? Or is
it a problem with PowerPoint Viewer that will not allow it to operate within
e-mail?
Bottom line: How can I simply click on PowerPoint attachments in my mailbox
an view them without having to save them first?

This is a newly discovered issue that occurs with the combination of Outlook
Express/Windows XP SP-2/PPT Viewer 2003.

Look in the first thread at the link below for replies from John Langhans to
see possible workarounds.
