Thanks for taking the time to read my qestion.

How do you open a text file for reading?

Thanks,

Brad

Sorry, I was not very clear in my question.

I want to open a text file to read with code... step through the lines and
set the line value to a variable.

Thanks,

Brad

Then look in help for Line Input

Line Input. Perfect,

Will do.

Help is easy to use, but if you don't know the key words to search for,
you're out of luck,

Thanks,

Brad

Ain't that the truth

Oh, please start. It is a slow and boring day, and a little heated
contraversy would be entertaining :)

For that matter...

If anyone's looking for a developer, I'm available at $35 per hour.
Check out my website at www.yellAtMe.com. I also have a wide variety of
holiday items for sale including fruitcakes, turtle doves and chocolate
covered strawberries. While we're at it, that guy Alex P. Keaton III
from Shebogan, IL is a fraud, steals all of my code without giving me
credit and on top of that he smells bad.

So your an Access developer and you sell fruitcakes. I can see the
connection there. Reminds me of a road trip where I saw one of the funniest
business combinations ever (I look for them) It was Al and Linda's Bait Shop
and Ceramics.

I was trying to come up with something that we spark a slew of
controversy and was thinking about those times when posters here are
actually trying to solicit business - not to mention the periodic
mudslinging.

And I am trying to sell my book about my roadtrip, but most of the posters
here are too stupid to understand it even if they are literate enough to read
it.

Yeah they are pretty dumb - don't even understand the difference between
Access 2.0 and Access 95.

I thinks Access 1.0 was the very best, I'm really sorry they every messed
with it. All that extra functionality just makes it hard to understand.

And how really needs transactions, conditional formating,
compact-on-close, and especially CurrentDB() with
DBEngine.DataBases(0).Workspaces(0) -or- DBEngine(0)(0) will do jut fine.
