I have a PowerPoint Presentation that I want people to
download from a web site and modify to their desire. When
I do this, PPT always opens in Slide show mode which won't
allow them to edit it. Is there language I can put on the
hyperlink that will open this in normal view mode as
opposed to slide show mode?

Thanks.....

When posting presentation to a Web site for downloading, I prefer to
compress into a .zip file. This avoids them being opened as a show, and
it allows me to make available all the assoicated files (videos, sounds,
etc.) at the same time.

What is the file extension of the file? If it is .PPS it will always open
in Slide Show mode. Changing it to .PPT will correct that and it will open
in Normal mode for editing. However, it would be better to have the users
download the file to their hard drive and select the folder where it is
stored. Otherwise it's stored in a temp location that is difficult to
locate. Unless they do a File > Save As, they may not be able to locate
their changed version later.

They are PPT and they still open in slide show mode. The
ZIP method will work, but would rather have it open it
Normal mode. Thanks for the suggestions.
