Only 49,872 days, 17 hrs and 16 mins left on backup!

I am moving data from an old server with one kind of backup drive to another
with a different kind. So, to move the 8 GB of data in one folder and
preserve permissions I opened Backup on the new server and told it to back
up data from the old server to a file on the new one.

Currently it says it will take 49,872 days, 17 hrs and 16 minutes longer to
do this. However, it has already done about 1/4 of the data in about 2
hours, but says it has been working over 500 days so far!

These are both Win 2000 servers. The backup should be done in a few hours;
why is it reporting tens of thousands of days?

Thanks,
Mich

If I remember, it's a nice bug where the OS can't handle file sizes over
4Gb, so they get wrapped to some bizarre overflow value. I think Windoze is
trying to divide Inifinity by your file size... stick with it and it will
get there. Alternatively do two smaller backups and you should see the
correct time remaining.

I forgot I also adjusted the time zone from Eastern to Central in the middle
of the backup - may have had something to do with it! It finished in 2
hours, then restored to the new server in 10 minutes!
