I have two windows open in Windows Internet Explorer and when I put in a 3rd
one it erases the first one. So how can I have 10 windows open at the same
time so I can go to which one I want?

Use tabs.

If you are using a link to access another website, right click the link and
select the "Open in new tab" option. If you will be typing a new URL, click
a new tab and enter the URL there. You can also use CTRL+T to open a new
tab. There are many ways to accomplish what you want to do.

What if you don't like Tabbed browsing ? IE7 won't let you open more than 2
windows ?

Did you try this? I just disabled the tabs and opened 22 separate instances
of IE from the desktop icon?

So are you saying that it's an either, no tabs and more windows, or tabs and
only two windows? Is IE really that restrictive?

That would go against his agenda of knocking Vista any chance he gets.

I went to Tools - Internet options - General - Setting for the tabs and
deselected and it did not work.

No aunty Doris, it's not. Open a bunch of windows, and tabs in each if you
want.

I was asking, as I don't use IE. My preference is individual Windows. Opera
had tabs a loooooong time ago, and FF, and now IE. I never did like
browsing that way.

I didn't disable Tabs and was still able to open several separate windows.

Cheers, Dave

Yes, this works, I was just replying to the OP who said that he could not
open more than 2 windows with tabs disabled.
