i was given a computer (pentium 2) and have updated it to windows xp from windows 98. problem is there is only 12% disc space on c drive. how can i remove all of previous owners files safely without affecting my own. d drive has nearly 100% free disc space is it possible to transfer from c to d? please help, i have managed to free up a few % by deleting temporary internet files etc. dont really know what im doing and dont want to delete stuff i need. thanks.

Kay, you can remove the programs you don't want from Add/Remove Programs in
Classic Control Panel.
It would have been better if you cleaned the drive before updating to XP but
you can also use a good
cleaner. System Mechanic from www.iolo.com has a 30 day free trial. If
you think you will never want to
go back to Win98, there's a lot of 98 backup files that were saved that you
can delect safely.
