onload not firing

I have a web page that for some reason, when I it loads, it is not firing the
onload event, or any event for that matter, that is in the code behind vb
file? Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

I figured out my problem. I was trying to debug in the release mode and my
breakpoints where just getting past over. The event was firing, I just had an
error in my code.
