One more formula question--adding LOWER

My formula, thanks to everyone's wonderful help, has now evolved to:

=IF(LEFT(A1)="#",MID((UPPER(MID(A1,1,2))&LOWER(MID(A1,3,255))),2,255),IF(LEFT(A1)="%",UPPER(MID(A1,2,255))))

I'd like to add LOWER(A1) in there somehow, so if neither of these two
conditions are met, it doesn't display "false," but it converts everything in
cell A1 to lowercase. I've tried lots of things and nothing seems to work,
please help me out one more time, I'd be forever grateful! Thanks!

=IF(LEFT(A1)="#",MID((UPPER(MID(A1,1,2))&LOWER(MID(A1,3,255))),2,255),
IF(LEFT(A1)="%",UPPER(MID(A1,2,255)),
IF(EXACT(A1,LOWER(A1)),LOWER(A1))))

Hi Jessica

Try
=IF(LEFT(A1)="#",
MID((UPPER(MID(A1,1,2))&LOWER(MID(A1,3,255))),2,255),
IF(LEFT(A1)="%",
UPPER(MID(A1,2,255),
LOWER(A1))))
