I have a message in my inbox that won't open, and I also cannot delete it nor
move it. Whenever I click on it to choose an action, I get an error message
that just says there is an error. All other mesages act normally. The message
is from an online store that often sends me sale notices. I don't need to
read the message necessarily, but I'd like to get it out of the inbox, since
it always shows up as a new message. Any thoughts appreciated...

Well Amanda, welcome to the world of Vista.
I to have the same problem, contacted MS and they suggested that I contact
HP to resolve the problem that is inherent to Windows Mail. Sooner or later
MS will fix the bug but in the meantime I will be using XP pro on the other
computer for mail.
Its a shame that MS puts out a new version of windows with bugs in it and
then they drag their feet to come up with a patch to fix the problem. I
should have bought the laptop before Vista came out, that way I would have XP

Right click the message and mark it as read. Then try deleting it. If it
still won't delete try ignoring it.

well, OK, thanks, I was able to mark it as read, so now at least it doesn't
show up as unread. It still won't delete though. I'll ignore it I guess.
THANKS.

Just wanted you to know im another one witht he same VISTA problem.. it was
just an email notification that I had paid for and ordered a magazine
subscription... not even spam or possible problem mail..now I own the email
Forevvvvver...I guess Vista has created inbox email into the gifts that keep

Thank you, Frank for this suggestion. I was verklempt with this problem,
especially because it was showing up in the Inbox, and was afraid I'd be
seeing this for the life of my notebook. At least now it will travel down
the list and I will almost never see it. I blame Vista, but is it ok to
place some of the blame on the spam sender?

Have you applied this fix?

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090
It also works on other folders.

The blame is more likely to fall on an anti-virus scanning email
