Unable to open and minimize multiple spreadsheets or documents. Open the
first document, then minimize it. Open the second, and minimize it. Only one
button in taskbar. Only the second document is open.

Might want to check the Taskbar properties for an option called
"Group Similar Taskbar Buttons". When enabled and the Taskbar
is crowded, you'll see a single entry which contains multiple instances.
So, if you have three Excel docs open, the Taskbar will only show
a single Excel. If you click on it -the item will expand to show instances
available.

Sorry, I think I missed something. If you're using Excel it minimizes
workbooks within it's main Window in the Lower-Left corner. To
see the open workbooks you might have to resize the default view
inside Excel so the far bottom left corner isn't obscured. You can
open a Workbook and grab the bottom left corner (Arrow) and
resize, pull it away from the corner. Once the corner is visible you
should be able to switch between workbooks.

Tools - options - View Tab
Tick Windows in Taskbar

That should work
