I'm having trouble turning on my computer. Nothing happens when I push the
on/off switch until I cycle the switch on the back off the main unit several
times, then it seems to come on.....Any ideas as to why?

Bad Power Supply..
Bad switch on your mainboard..
Bad power..

Hardware issue - get it repaired.

The power supply may be overloaded and is therefore tripping out due to this
condition. When you turn the "power supply" switch off and on, you are
likely resetting the overload. See if your power supply is up to what you
need by going here: http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/

To all the excellent previous answers I'd only like to add that power
supplies age, also--I had a 450w Enermax in an old (1998) machine did the
same thing--bad cap in the power supply. Runs properly even with a smaller
psu.
