I have been downloading my personal banking information for several years
into a .csv file format so that I can use excel to track expenditures.
Recently (two or so months ago) when I attempted this I started to get a
little icon near the cursor that looks like a disk drive with a red x next
it and a "bleep" sound - no download or error message. I should get a popup
asking me to name the file (usual file download activity) and then it would
download and be available. I use citibank online and they were unable to
guide me. I am running windows xp pro with all the updates (including SP2)
and I have Norton AV and Personal Firewall with all updates. I tried to
disable norton and there was no change in the behavior. Anyone know what
might be going on?

Have you installed any new software? Think hard because it could be any
software at all. Have you tried to reinstall your browser?

Thanks for the URL; it looks like the new IE popup blocker was the culprit.
Citibank wanted me to upgrade my Quicken!!!!

Lol, typical tech support. They don't have a clue so just throw out
some off the wall suggestion. Glad you got it fixed and thanks for
posting back.
