On Activate Error

I have changed code in a module which after closing the database file and
reopening works fine. I get "The expression On Active you entered as the
event property setting produced the following error: Function call on
left-hand side of assignment must return variant of Object."

I have been able to make changes in this module up until this weekend wihout
this error.
