I have a client with Exchange 2000 SP3, Outlook XP on WinXP Pro SP1. After a
successful mailbox move to a new Exchange server (& subsequent removal of
the old Exchange/Windows server from AD, which was also successful), two out
of the 40 users are showing the public folders tree on *top* of their
mailboxes in the folder list.

Recreating the mail profile from scratch doesn't resolve the problem.

It wasn't like this before the new server was put in (as part of disaster
recovery mishegoss that fortunately left the old Exchange box temporarily
intact).

I've seen this question posted to the OL groups before but cannot for the
life of me remember wot the answer was...help?

Have you tried starting their Outlook one time with the /cleanviews switch?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Lanwench [MVP -

Nope - but thanks, will try this tomorrow - thanky...I didn't think it was
related to views as it involves the "sort order", sorta, in the folder list
itself, not in the contents of any folder, but it's worth a shot.

Feel free to keep chiming in, peeps - I'll take all the info w/me when I'm
at their office tomorrow... :-)

Howdy - sorry, it didn't work. We tried /safe as well - same results. Public
folders tree on top, Outlook Today (mailbox) on the bottom.

It isn't a true disaster, but it's irritating! Any other ideas?
