I get this error message when I use our medical software (based on Access) to
send an email through Outlook 2002. It worked fine until August. The
software provider, after trying everything, says it must be a new security
feature in Outlook? Help!

So what did you change in August?
 
Nothing that I know of--We speculate that there was an automatic security
update? I did not change any of the settings in Outlook or in the connected
medical scheduling program. Sound like anything you've heard of?

Nothing I've encounterd. Google indicates that that particular error is
often associated with Crystal Reports. Can you post the error message
exactly and in its entirety?
 
I could finally check the exact message today: "Error exporting to email whil
sending email. OLE error 80047784." Does that help somehow?

That doesn't sound like an Outlook error. The first thing I'd try is to
click Start>Run, type "regsvr32.exe ole32.dll" in the Open field, click OK,
then try sending again. Write back with the results.
 
Hello Brian: I ran the registry command you suggested, and it didn't make
any difference. I did get the "Successful" message after running it, but the
email export through Outlook generated the same error.

Does that tell you anything?
