Where can I find on internet old versions of software?

I'm looking for several programs ... maybe its easier to search a file
(FTP-searching). Does anyone knows how to search to a file (not:
searching with google, then you get links)

Try http://www.filemirrors.com, if you know part of the filename.
I've had pretty good luck with it.
