This is the correct question. Or questions
I have gotten a new computer with Windows XP.
This is in three parts:
I have uninstalled some software (and then used a registry cleaning
program). There remain orphan items from those programs in my startup list
(msconfig) although they aren't checks. How do I dump them?
Next there are lots of other files in startup that I don't want to have
run--autoupdates and such. I can't always tell which entries I want and
which I don't. How do I find out other than going thru check/uncheck ten
times?
Finally, how do I unlist those entries I don't want. Do they have to remain
there unchecked for ever?
Thanks.
