OLD program compatibility in XP

I have an old program, label says Windows ver.1.60g(?)
DOS ver.4.34c

When i click the Bat file it pops up then disappears. I
have tried the compatibility Wizard no help.

It sounds like it's running then terminating. Go to Start, Run, type cmd
then <enter>. Run the app from this window. What happens?

Some apps will never run on NT-based systems.
