I am a teacher trying to run an old DOS based grading
program on a disc via the a drive on my new Windows XP
computer. I am not able to get it to display as a full
screen. Suggestions?

Why can't you make it full screen? Did you right click the title bar, Properties, Options, Full Screen.

You'd be very happy with a more modern grading program,
there are free programs for WORKS and OFFICE, just search MS
downloads.

| Try hitting alt-ENTER when you're in the DOS window.

Do you HAVE to run it from the disk? I've had successful results running old
DOS programs like this by copying the entire disk to a separate folder on my
hard drive. If you can do that, then run the program once. This will create
a "PIF" file. Navigate to the pif file with Windows Explorer, right click on
it and pick "Properties". On the "Screen" tab pick "Full screen". On the
"Program" tab choose "Maximize" on the drop-down menu under "Run" and also
put a check mark in "Close on exit". Sometimes on the "Compatability" tab
you also need to put a check mark in "640 x 480 screen resolution" as well.
Be sure to click on "Apply" after all changes are made.

Note: If the original disk is protected or something or you can't move the
program's operation to the hard drive, I don't know whether or not any of
this will work.
