When I try to Send/Receive in Outlook 2002 on English XP,
Outlook will just hang and hog the CPU and I then have to
reboot the machine.

There are no error messages. The Send/Receive window
comes up and it does try to send/retrieve messages, but
never goes anywhere. I have reinstalled Office XP, run
scanpst.exe, ran Detect and Repair and nothing has
worked. I also ran a virus scanner to no avail.

I haven't installed any new applications and have not
changed any of the pop account settings. ANY IDEAS?

Thanks,
Andrew.

When you test the account settings, do you get an error message? What is
the message?

the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted

I ran the "Test Account Settings" with no problem, but
still would hand when I did the Send/Receive. I
completely reinstalled Outlook again and seem to be
getting somewhere. Now I can do the Send/Receive, but now
I'm not getting my contacts to pop up when I create an
email. Any ideas or should I resubmit?

Thx,
Andrew.

Hi Milly
Well Outlook is crashing again. It worked fine for the
last couple of days and then started hanging every time I
try and to a Send/Receive. I haven't changed any
settings whatsoever, no new installations, nothing.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
Anwar.
