Hi Folks,

When I click the send/receive icon in OL 2000 on windows XP home
edition, I get a pop up window showing delivering and receiving
messages. I know there is a way to get rid of the pop up and show the
activity in the status bar at the bottom of Outlook.. I cannot
remember how to do this nor can I find the info. Any help would be
appreciated.

Is your Statusbar on? Otherwise Outlook can't display it there either ;-)

Then make sure the Show Send/Receive progress option is disabled on the
pop-up

I figured it out. I had to reconfigure mail support for internet only
mail support. I had it configured for corporate network or some such.
All is well with internet only mail support. Thanks for the interest.
