I have been asking questions in a variety of places, and I've been
getting a lot of very negative feedback.
"Go read this! Go read that!"
My problem is that while I'm very bright, and while I'm pretty good
with computers (having spent over 30 years working with them as a
writer)
I have a reading impairment (I don't understand tech data).
Therefore, I need nice folks like you to "boil it down" for me,
whenever possible.
I figure if 50 of you have had the same problem, I don't need to spend
a week reading about it (as if I could) if you could boil it down to 5
paragraphs.
My current question is this.
I REALLY don't like the built-in "Hints" in XP Pro.
I find it a pain to be reaching for the Start button to reboot
(advisable MOST of the time), but I can't find the dang "Turn off
Computer" option 3/4 of the time because a great big HINT pops up.
I have seen no option for "turning off the hints."
Where is it?
