| I did try it, and you did in fact provide the needed clue for the task with
| the MGAdiag package.

| However, the MGADiag package won't run and won't advise unless *this* has
| been installed first:
| WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86-Standalone.exe
|
| And this was the case with all of the sytems that I had to examine. All
| these systems predate WGA, aren't anywhere near network connections, and
| can't be removed to get to a connection - they are video surveillance
| systems, built to run reliably in an out-of-the-way corner. Updates aren't
| even desirable.
|
| So the MGAdiagnostics would not run by itself. Fortunately, I had extra
| files with me.
