I recently upgraded from Outlook 2002 to 2003. My Outlook
2003 is setup with a few Hotmail HTTP accounts and an
account hosted by our company Exchange Server.

In Outlook 2002, I was able to start the program in
Offline mode "Work Offline", and then after Outlook
started, I would go to the File menu and connect to my
Hotmail accounts. I think there was a menu item that said
something like Connect to XXXX, where XXXX was Hotmail
since that's what I called the account.

I have not found a way to do the same thing in Outlook
2003 and wondered if anyone knew if this functionality was
removed or is there another technique to accomplish what I
used to be able to do in Outlook 2002.

Could anyone offer some help or suggestions, I am quite
stumped on this problem.

Thank you,

Steve

Try setting up a send/receive group(s). (e.g. when offline, check hotmail
accounts. when online check <?>. you can access the send/receive groups
via a ctrl + alt + s)

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly this does not fix the
issue. The issue is that in Outlook 2002, I could start
the program into Offline mode then I would do a sync to
keep certain accounts synched, but apparently, Hotmail
accounts will not work when you are Offline. When you are
Offline in Outlook and you for example try to delete an
email message in a Hotmail account folder, you get a
message saying that the server is not available which
means you have to be in Online mode.

Exchange based Outlook accounts work very well if you are
either Online of Offline, but mixing Hotmail accounts and
Exchange accounts in Outlook, when you are not working in
the Online mode, causes many problems.

Does anyone experience the same thing. I have to believe
there must be some folks who use Outlook to manage
multiple email accounts (Exchange and Hotmail) but are
working remotly across the Internet so you don't usualy
stay connected to your Exchange Server in Online mode.
