Offline folders going offline when connected.

Several different XP Pro machines that are using the
Offline Files and Folders option continuously go Offline.
If this feature is turned on, it actually tells the PC it
is offline until they click the Offline Files icon in the
task bar and click OK and then is resumes to the online
status. This occurs with wireless connections and wired
connections. Is there a way to fix this problem, it is
extremely irritating. Thanks.

Does the computer actually go offline or does it just
appear that way to the user? (Can other networked users
still access it?)
If the computer actually disconnects, the only thing I can
think of is to simply use the files on the network without
trying to work with them offline.
I'm not sure if the following procedure will work:
In My Computer, go to Tools and then Folder Options. In
the Offline Files tab click Advanced. Under 'when a
network connection is lost' there should be an option
called 'Never allow my computer to go offline'.

I hope this helps,

Thanks for the imput Deek. The machine is not actually
offline, but all folders that are set to use the "Offline
Folder" feature only show the offline data until they tell
it to manuall synch. I would like to be able to use the
feature because the users are using laptops which they
work on at home at night...
