Offline folders and folder structure

I have a problem with offline folders and windows XP.
In our enterprise we run XP on all desktops/laptops, I
have found that upon using offline folders, any time you
synchronize folders/subfolders the directory structure is
not maintained on the target computer (laptop). All files
are synchronized vide-versa, but it is obviously
difficult to work with files that are displayed in the
same context. Is there any problems/work around for this?

Thanks for any tips, suggestions.

Access the files through the same (albeit offline) network path/drive
mapping you used to create them, and they'll look normal.
