office xp student teacher edition licensing

I bought office 2003 student teacher edition for my 2
computers, one running window xp, the other windows Me. I
found I could not install the 2003 version on the Me
machine, hence returned it for the office xp student
teacher version. Now I find that I may not be able to
install this on both computers. Is this true? Is the
licensing agreement that the student teacher version is
for up to 3 computers new, hence does not apply to the xp
verson?
