Can I upgrade to Office 2007 Standard if I have Works 8.0 or will I have to
buy the full retail version?

According to the Microsoft web site, you need a copy of an older version of Office to qualify for
the upgrade.

Do you need Office 2007 Standard? Have you considered "Office for Home and Student"? It is the
least expensive way to get most Office products and you can install it on 3 separate PC's.
