I just upgraded to Office 2003. When I restrated my office taskbar was gone.
I cannot find it . I have used search to locate the .exe file or anything
having to do with it. Nothing. Where is it and how can I get it back? thnx.

Office Shortcut Bar is not included in Office 2003

Fred -

I found the same thing, but have discovered a replacement.

You will find a "Quicklaunch" bar in the lower left of the screen. If you
cannot find it, I think you can get to it by right-clicking on the bottom bar
and selecting it from the pop-up box.

You can drag programs (shortcuts) to the Quicklaunch bar just like you could
to the Office taskbar.

If you are like me, the default location of the Quicklaunch bar does not
leave you with enough room for all of the icons you need. To remedy this, you
can drag the Quicklaunch bar to the right side of the screen. It takes a bit
of fooling around to get it positioned properly, but when you get it there it
is functionally the same as the Office Taskbar.

A very rude individual in an Office forum pointed this out, as if it was
supposed to be obvious what trhe Quicklaunch bar was and that it could be
repositioned on the screen. It wasn't obvious to me until after it was
pointed out!

I hope this tales care of your issue.
