Hey yeall got a question.I just upgraded My Office from
2000 premium to XP Pro and i noticed the 2000 version is
still listed in the add/remove section. Can I delete the
2000 Premium version and not affect the new XP Pro version
since it was an Upgrade?

No... for a list of reasons like one installed over the other, uninstalling
the old would delete some things needed/used by the new one since they are
practically the same program... the listing of 2k doesn't affect anything
either, even if the program is not properly there any longer.

Office 2000 and Office XP are by design installed in different folders.
Office XP is installed in an Office 10 folder.

If you check the Office applications that were included in Office 2000
Premium and those that are included in Office XP Professional, you will find
that the list differs. I do not have the Premium list handy. If I recall
correctly you have Publisher 2000 and perhaps FrontPage 2000 which are not
included in Office XP Professional.

When you installed Office XP Professional, only those Office applications
included were replaced. The other Office 2000 applications were left
intact.

If you do not use the additional applications, you can use Add/Remove
Programs to remove what is left from your Office 2000 Premium. Doing so
will not impact the applications installed by Office XP Professional.

I think you are confused or have posted a confusing message:
2k Premium is an Office Suite (applications)
XP Pro is an OS (Operating System)

One cannot upgrade an Office Suite to an Operating System.

Did you upgrade Office 2k Premium to Office XP Premium or
upgrade Win2k to WinXP?

If you delete 2k Premium from your Add/Remove programs, it will take Office
XP Premium with it (as I assume this is what was upgraded - but maybe not).

If you upgraded Win2k Pro to WinXP Pro and save your uninstall files, then
it will show Remove XP within the Add/Remove Programs, but you can remove
the entry and delete the uninstall files if after a while you've determined
XP is fine and you no longer need to revert back to Win2k.

You possibly did a selective install and left something behind in the 2000
version. Alternately, Premium and Professional aren't the same, so you may
have some of the components that Premium has and Pro doesn't, that are still
tehre.. for example, Front Page.

*If* you know what those components are, and don't need them, yes, you can
uninstalll them. If you wind up removing the 2000 install and need to
install Office XP again, you will need the Office 2000 install CD to
sastisfy the upgrade qualification checks - so don't toss it!
