hope someone can help. I have a new wireless ADSL connection to which my
laptop happily connects, also internet explorer, also eudora.
Only office outlook keeps trying to find a dialup connection.
I have gone through the Tools-Email Accounts etc setup to change Connection
to connect via LAN -- doesn't seem to make any difference.
Has anyone got any ideas for me?
Running Win XP Pro on a Toshiba laptop
Gratefully, thanks

You Might want to check and see is always use an existing dial up connection
is dotted in the radial buttons under tools options and Mail Setup and o
ahead and uncheck both auto dial and hang up. Just a suggestion and u always
can get rid of the dial up connection in controlpanel and network
connections since u use wirlesss and not the 56k.

Thank you very much for your reply. It seems the problem was nothing to do
with Office Outlook! I found this after trying to connect to this same email
address with Eudora, which also failed.
I discovered last night that the ISP to which I could not connect and
collect my mail, has a policy of denying service unless you are connected to
that ISP
Since my ADSL is with a different ISP -- no go!

Very irritating but at least I eventually found it and thanks again for your
contribution!
