Are there any problems running Office 97 and Outlook 98 under Win
XP PRO?

You might have a problem installing Office 97 if you've already
installed SP2 but you'll have no problem running it or Outlook.

I have XP and downloaded the SP2. Now my PC won't let me reinstall my
Office 97 SBE.

I get an error message which says:

C:\windows\system32\autoexec.int The system file is not suitable for
running M-S Dos and Microsoft Windows applications.

Any ideas how I get round this. I uninstalled SP2 but this hasn't helped.

Try doing a clean install of XP, followed by SP2 and then Office.

Why is ther a problem installing Office 97 after installing SP2
(for WIN XP Pro?

Service Pack 2 adds file protection for some registry keys, one of
which Office 97 needs to modify if the HTML options are selected.
