Ever since installing SP3, we have problems in Access with combo boxes being
blank. What is the hotfix for this and how do I get it?

If I recall, you need to go to the underlying fields in the tables and
remove the Formatting there.

If you want the values formatted, apply it in your forms/reports.

Good luck!

Will there be a hotfix for this?

Jeff, it worked before I applied the service pack. Please pass along to
Microsoft that a hotfix is needed as the majority of Access users won't know
how to do this.

Is there a way to remove SP3?

I don't work for MS.

I will mention something to my MVP Lead at MS.

Have you tried searching on-line (e.g., via Google) for "remove SP3"?

The only documented way to remove SP3 is to remove Office completely and
then reinstall without SP3. I have not seen any other suggestions.

I have also had this problem since SP3 was installed on Monday. Before
installation, my combo boxes worked just fine. After, I get blank combo boxes.

Following suggestion above, I just removed all formatting from fields in my
underlying tables which are used as lookup source for a combo box. This
worked! Now, my combo box actually displays what it needs to. The odd part is
that not all of the combo boxes were affected, only a few.....there seems to
be no obvious trend. And now, even with the DISTINCT predicate, the first
entry in the combo box list is a blank line, this was not there before. Any
ideas?

MS needs to fix this annoying little "bug". I wonder what other unknown
surprises that SP3 has in store.....

Oops, forgot to include that there is no obvious trend to this issue, besides
that the affected fields had formatting at the table-level.
