Hello,
I have Visual Studio 2003 and Office 2003.
I want to install only components to deploly applications built in Access.
I know that there isn't an Office 2003 Developer edt, but you have to
install some components bundled in Visual Studio.
Does anyone know what I need to install?

thank you!
Rocco

Hi, Rocco.
I know that there isn't an Office 2003 Developer edt, but you have to
install some components bundled in Visual Studio.
Does anyone know what I need to install?

You need the Access Developer Extensions (ADE), which are included in only
the standalone version of Visual Studio Tools for Office 2003 (VSTO) or with
the VSTO in the Universal version of the MSDN subscription. Either Microsoft
Office Access 2003 or Microsoft Office 2003 Professional is required to be
installed on the developer's computer before the Access Developer Extensions
are installed.

The operating system must be Windows 2K SP-3 or above, or Windows XP. No
earlier version of Windows will be able to run Office 2003, due to the .Net
framework requirements.

HTH.

many thanks!
May i ask you something?

I have IIS 5 running on a Win 2000 system.
I have installed SQL 2000 Personal Edition.

I have Office 2003 professional (already installed) and Visual Studio.Net
2003 Professional edt (not yet installed)

Do you know if it is enough to install VSTO (Visual Studio tolls for
office)??
I want to install ONLY VSTO, not all the Visual Studio.NET features.
When I tried to install VS.Net I don't see any option talking about just
Visual
Studio Tools for Office system, but from my searching on the internet it
seems my software suite should be enough to install VSTO.
If "yes" can you tell me the right steps to go through the installation?

thanks!
Rocco
