Office 2000/XP Menu Font issue??

The tabs have enlarged on some of the system windows
example on tools format cells only 3 tabs are visible but
there is a line where the other 3 in front should be.
Clicking on the line will bring up the window for the tab.

started in Office 2000 also removed 200 and installed xp
sp2

only a guess but maybe you somehow have changed the Windows settings
(does this also appear in other applications)?
