Office 2000 Word - Spell & Grammar Checker

Both remain inoperative despite repeated reinstalls. Have
used tools to change language back and forth. Program
refuses to check spelling. Displays message: "The
spelling and grammer check is complete. Text previously
marked do not check was skipped."

Further check of TOOLS - Language shows a check mark
by "English".

The selected text may also be tagged as "do not check spelling or grammar".
Select the text, and use the Language dialog to clear this checkbox.
