Hi
I am contemplating updating to vista but would like to know if the office
2000 proffessional disc that i have will still work with the vista system.

Office 2000 is compatible with Windows Vista. I have seen problems using
Outlook 2000 on vista with the address book and other things. So yes it will
work but it does have problems with outlook. For future refference this is a
windows XP General Help newsgroup in which niether Vista nor Office 2000 is
supported. Here are the newsgroups you should contact about these 2 programs:

Why don't you ask the girls and boys having Vista installed for sure.

Office 2000 will probably work except for Outlook. Do a custom install and
don't install Outlook. Outlook 2003 and up work in Vista.
