We are engaged in a server consolidation using Netware
6.5.

Problem exhists as follows

since consolodation to the NW clusters the users are
complaining about the following

When a user opens any office application and then tries
to open a file. The "Look In" window is too narrow and
they cannot see the end of the mapping where it displays
the driver letter.

Is it possible to stretch the window horizontally ?

Can the drive letter be moved to the beginning of the
mapping ?

They can use the likes of wordpad and drap the window
horizontally so why not word.

The OS is Windows 2000 with Office 2000

Looking forward to replies

Billy

Hi Billy,

The Open dialog box can not be resized in Office 2000. However as of
Office XP this capability has been added.

The reason you can resize the dialog box in the Windows apps is
because they are using a Windows common dialog control. Office has
it's own dialog control and it wasn't designed the same way.

As for changing the position of the drive letter, you may get a more
experienced answer by asking in a networking newsgroup.
