office 2000 New E-mail Notification

Since downloadin an antivirus version I am getting multiple new e-mail
"envlope" icons in my system tray. If I put the cursor on them a baloon says
"You have new unopened items". If I doubleclick the envlope I get a window
that says "The Operation Failed."

I hav had 20 of these envlopes appear at one time. If I reboot they go away
and the process starts over.

DIsable all integration of the AV program with Outlook. You don't need it
anyway. SOme AV programs require uninstalling and reinstalling without the
mail integration feature to truly disable it.
