Sorry about asking here but can't get an answer in "CORRECT' newsgroups.

I downloaded a bit torrent file and it has an extension of
"filename.avi.html" I don't understand what the .HTML part of the
extension is all about Any help?

Before going any further, I'd scan that file with your up to date
av software. It may be a virus. THEN you could safely play with
it.

also, you might have to rename it to have only the .avi extension
