OE removed access

When people send me Email with attachments, when I try to
open the attachments, I get the message
"OE removed access to the following unsave attachments in
your mail: name of document".
If I ask them to send the Email plus attachment again and
open it on my desktop computer, I can read the attachment.
Obviously, there is nothing wrong with the attachment.
Something has been set in my laptop to cause the message
and prevent me from reading the message.
What do I reset to get rid of this message?

In OE:

1) Go to Tools, then Options, then click the Security tab
2) Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened...."
3) OK your way out... attachments should be available to you now.

Do a search on google. There is a registry fix to
eliminate this from happening. Actually with OE you may
be able to find this under the options, but I think you
need to turn it on first. This is done intentionally by
microsoft in the newer versions of both OE and Outlook.
