OE Automatically opening next message

Can you tell me how to stop OE from automatically opening
e-mail messages? I want to be able to double click (the
old fashioned way) to open them. It seems to me that it
would be dangerous to have OE open next message
automatically. ie:Virus warning do not open message with
subject: Re: hi thanks for the card. You seem to have no
choice here. You have 2 windows, top window shows list of
messages. Bottom window is the message window itself. I
don't want that bottom window and I don't want OE to open
each message auto. as I hilite it. Thanks for any help
you can give me.

Open OE. Click VIEW, then LAYOUT. Uncheck the PREVIEW PANE button.
