OE Address book search problem

This one has me stumped. If I do a search for *.wab I get 2 results, both
of which are backups of my OE address book and not the one in use. My
active OE address book in use is located in Documents and Settings\my
name\Applications Data\Microsoft\Address Book. This location is verified by
making a change and looking at the file date.
I downloaded a program called "FileLocator Pro" and doing the same search
results in 3 files, the 2 that XP search finds and then the real one. What
could possibly be wrong with the XP search function. From posts here I know
it has its problems but this one doesn't make sense.

Address Book Help>About>File ...Does a location show in this box?
Yep, the same location I said it was in.

Do you also have MS Outlook installed?
Nope.

<scratching head> I wuz gonna mention that, too, Alan, but I figgered that
if Norm hadn't already taken care of that niggling little detail he wouldn't
have found the other .WAB files.

Norm, what are the names/locations of the 2 you do find and what is the
name/location of the one you don't find?[/QUOTE]

Well I don't believe it, I can't believe I'm that stupid. I thought that if
you had "Show Hidden files and folders" checked under View that the search
would work also. Alan, you hit the nail on the head, I didn't look in the
"more advanced options" of the search and feel like a real dummy.
Many thanks to the both of you for sticking with me on this one. Believe it
or not XP search comes up with 5 hits on *.wab files, the 3 I mentioned
before and the 2 backups again in Document and Settings\Norm\Recent and
FileLocator Pro doesn't find those last 2 and I don't really care why it
doesn't find them.
Thanks again

I think what really happened was that the advanced search option at one time
was set, because I been doing it for a while and somehow it got unchecked
and I just completely forgot that was an option that was specific to the
search function. Can't tell you how many times I've told someone here in
the newsgroup that to find your address book do a search on *.wab and I
would usually do it for the hell of it before answering a post.
Oh well, that's what I love about this newsgroup. There hardly a day goes
by that I don't learn something new.
