Odd registry keys

Whilst trying to iradicate a virus I came a cross the following key
within HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\

It is simply called )r:n+

There is no data within it.

What is it
 
What led you to nose around in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ to
find it?

Whatever you do, don't delete the key without having first backed it up!

Noseiness. Anyway that doesn't answer my question of what this key
