Odd Problem On Strat-Up

As Win XP(home) begins to load the icons for my desktop, I
receive 2 error messages, that Windows can not open file
TFTP5436 and file TFTP3232

After that everything seems to run normally until I
finally get a shutdown error message due to a "remote
procedure call terminated" (RPC)

I have no clue what any of this is, have run Norton System
Works 2003 and searched google and Microsoft for the file
names with no luck.

Any ideas out there??

Mark, I don't know what the cause is, though my first guess would be a
virus. Someone else posted a message earlier today with the same symptom.
Subject of that message:

Issues with EXPLORER.EXE and other possibly related problems.

Try stopping some services, like FTP and RPC under Administrative Tools -->
Services in control pannel.
