Odd Mouse hangups

My mouse has recently strarted to hang up on certain actions, such as when i
change the otions for desktop graphics or use one of the shortcut buttons on
above the keyboard (mail firefox and so on). Needless to say this is hardly
fatal, but EXTREMELY annoying. Anybody have an idea what this might be or how
to fix it??

Remove all viruses and remove all spyware. Then minimize the number of
apps you've set to run 24/7.
