Works for me, nice Red Admiral.

T/n and fullsize ok

Avant 10.167, Win 98SE

Thanks Mike.
The two jpgs were being blocked by Avant's own Ad-Blocker.
I am a Firefox user normally, but I like to be sure that the site works
on all browsers.
Black mark for Avant.

My Avant didn't block it, and the Adblocker is set

Avant Forum inform me that the pictures were blocked because they were
called Butterfly and the "fly" bit trips the Ad Blocker.
So now you know :o)
Needless to say I changed the names.

AFAIK, the only reason such a rule might be there is to block stuff
from flycast.com; surely they could do that without blocking
everything with "fly" in it. ISTM they should fix the rule to avoid
false positives.

Works okay for me. I aslo have ad-blocker on. Same version
of Avant as you, but Win XP SP2.

I can see the butterfly with avant latest version and ad blocker on.

XP SP2

I dont think that the name "fly" blocks an image....

The only thing I know for sure is when the jpgs had the names butterfly,
they were the only ones blocked by the adblocker. When I changed the name,
they were not blocked.

But they were called flutterby (there's a workaround for you!) for me too,
came up nicely on the tooltips.

Well there y'go.
I never liked any of the IE shells anyhow. Seems like cheating somehow.
I'm off to put Netscape 8 through its paces. Looks good thus far.

Why Netscape rather than Firefox?

Why Netscape rather than Firefox?

Firefox is my main browser and has been for some time.
The new Netscape (based on Firefox) has a facility to automatically, or by
choice, switch to the IE engine if a page doesn't render. We shall see.

Fwiw;

The Inquirer has an article asserting that Netscape's 8 is based on a
release of Firefox that predates the recent security fixes.

I scent the faint aroma of performing seals......

I've got a browser; it's Avant.

I know it uses the IE engine.

So what, I love it, it works perfectly for me (if not for you), and to me
it's Avant.

I won't bore you with the creaking slowness, and worse, unexplained
destructive crashes I've had with Firefox, and worse, with T/bird.

Why should that interest you?

I just regret doing my neighbourly duty and reporting back on your query
as quick as may be.

The North South divide is as alive and well as ever, them up there being
often mistaken but never in doubt
