Is there a way to change the default ODBC time out on queries that connect
to a SQL server table?

Hi,
You can't believe how much grief this "ODBC call failed" has caused me. I
should have just come to this forum directly rather than trying to search on
microsoft's website for help.

Well, my question is:
Can you change what appears to be the default of 60 seconds to some other
value, so its in effect for any query? Basically, I'm hoping that this
setting can be made once, rather than every time a new query is run.

I've looked under Tools--> Options, but the only setting related to a
timeout appears to be a OLE/DD timeout, which doesn't really seem to affect
the appearance of the "odbc call failed" error message.

Thanks in advance for all any suggestions.
John H.
